100% Grass Fed Beef

2023 Updates:

Right now we are in a rebuilding phase of our herd. We’ve spent the past few years refining our herd genetics and we are currently down to just a handful of cows. However, with the work that we’ve put in, as we rebuild our herd we’re confident we’ll be able to provide great tasting 100% grass fed and finished beef! But due to this we won’t have beef to process until 2025. We are happy to add you to our wait list or share some names of other farms in the area who we trust with larger herds who may be able to get you some meat sooner!

We know that ordering bulk beef the traditional way, where the customer works with the butcher as well as the farmer, can be overwhelming and confusing to determine what your costs will actually be. So we came up with pre-configured bundles to give you the best variety of meat cuts and simplify the process for you, our customer.  We simplify the ordering process so you know exactly what you’re going to get, and how much the total cost will be. The more meat you order, the more savings for you. A 50% deposit will reserve your order and the remainder will be due at pick up.

the herd

Mother nature is a pretty smart lady, so we try our best to mimic and learn from her. Even though it takes longer to finish cattle on nothing but grasses and legumes, we want to raise our animals in a way that is not just sustainable- but regenerative. We hope to reduce our carbon footprint, and replenish our biggest livestock herd: soil microbes. Besides, grass fed makes sense, doesn’t it? Over time, the industry has let cattle get lazy. But they were designed to BE the manure spreader, the hay mower and rake; while all of the pesticides and insecticides that we tend to want to use are just quick fixes. Why put energy, time, fuel, chemicals and equipment into raising livestock when our herd can do most of those things for us with intensive rotational grazing and increased plant diversity? Our system isn’t perfect, but we have a long term goal of managing an efficient, regenerative farm. We want to work with mother nature, not against her.

Our Red Devon herd is 100% grass fed and finished

We believe in quality over quantity

We make every effort to leave the land in better shape than we found it

We are always seeking knowledge and advice to improve our farm, our herd, and our efficiency

We want our customers to understand why we raise our animals a little differently than the industry standard - so we would love to show you around!
